Kyoto Accommodation - Budget

For Kyoto...still undecided. A budget (but not shabby) ryokan would be nice. I like the looks of the new Budget Inn, set up by a former backpacker. Only 5-6 min walk from Kyoto Station. The Golden Suite (can fit up to five pax) with ensuite bathroom looks warm and cosy. Decently priced at ¥8990 (S$113) for two or ¥10,990 (S$139) for three per room/nite. Dorm rooms going for only ¥2500 (S$31)! With aircon and heater.

Another alternative would be K's House Kyoto (10 mins walk from JR Kyoto station). Double room with ensuite bathroom costs ¥7,800 (S$98) per night. Looks incredibly cramped and tiny but at least clean and hopefully comfy. Dorm style and twin rooms from ¥2,500 (S$31) onwards.
